We even heard the Russian couple screaming one night and can only assume the coach roach era had found themselves in their room also! All this being said overall we had a comfortable stay, the bed was made each morning for us and the court yard our room faced on to was quite and a lovely place to sit out on during the later hours of the evening.Set a 16-minute stroll from Nancy Forrester's Secret Garden, the bed & breakfast is also 10 minutes' stroll from Key West Firehouse Museum. I would recommend if you choose to stay at this hotel you double check your arrival times to avoid being told to come back later! As stated in the title, cockroaches! These were found in the bathroom of our room and while they caused us no real distress it’s not a nice site to see these creepy crawly’s. We took their bags in for them and told them a nice restaurant to head towards to wait until their check in time. We felt a little disheartened for the couple who had been traveling a long time and wanted to rest. We contacted Ivan on their behalf who told them to come back around 19:15hrs when a maid would be there to show them to their room. Nobody was at the B&B to help them so we took this upon ourselves to do. During our stay a Russian couple arrived around 17:00hrs. Ivan checked us in over the phone and made sure if we had any issues we could contact him. We arrived around 12:30am and were greeted by the maid who didn’t speak much English so phoned the owners for us. This was a nice little breakfast yet was the same each morning so was a little repetitive, none the less it filled a hole to prepare you for the day ahead.
Breakfast was included in our stay and this consisted of a roll with ham and spreadable cheese, a croissant with Jam, a hot drink and of course orange juice. We had a double room with a small terrace which had everything we needed.
